The weather has continued very mild this October and, combined with an excellent summer, this means that there is an abundance of berries and insects this year, as well as a good nut harvest. This is encouraging news for our wildlife as there is a plentiful food supply for them in order to fatten up for hard times to come. Leaves have remained on the trees for a long while and are producing a magnificent kaleidoscope of Autumn colour. Since returning from Scotland we have enjoyed several walks with the dog, Jet, and I have enjoyed photographing the vibrant countryside colours.
