Setting up the Winter Feeding Station.

With Christmas and New Year behind us it was time to set up my woodland winter feeding station.  It is always better to wait until the trees are well clear of leaves in the wood, otherwise there is not enough light for photography.  As I drove out it was bright and the sun was shining but it quickly clouded over and, for a while, turned to drizzle.  At 11C it was quite mile, though.  I soon had the feeders filled and hung on the feeder pole with one or two others on trees.  A fat block was put out for the woodpecker.  As I was working jackdaws were calling and a buzzard flew out of the wood from just in front of the hide.

After setting up I had a brief wander around the wood  to take a few photographs of the wood and the plentiful fungi.
