Spain, Day 10. Grazalema, Lagunas de la Fuente de la Piedra and Granada.

Woke this morning to sunny skies - typical!!! A bit of a potter for some photographs after packing and down for another tostada breakfast before turning our sights on Granada.

It turned out to be a hot day at 23C. We called in at a superb birding spot: Lagunas de la Fuente de la Piedra. It is a famous location for flamingoes because of the unusual saline lakes. There were 1000s of them, most distant, but some giving close views. We recorded 36 bird species in total. I was also pleased with my clouded yellow shots - loads of them on the wing here. I managed some pleasing images of red-veined darter as well.

The journey to Granada went well with not too much traffic and we easily found our hotel, the Crisol Guadaloupe, situated just above the Alhambra, our room giving excellent views of it. Maureen done good with picking it.

Once settled in we wandered down the steep hill into town to find some food.
