Scotland, 2014. A rest Day in Braemar.

Sadly Peter and Linda had to leave us today to return home so, while they packed, I popped into Braemar of croissants and danish pastries which we enjoyed with coffee before waving them off.  Heather and I then enjoyed a chilling out and catching up couple of hours before we set off for a local forest walk in the hope of photographing fungi.  We had already seen quite a few on the site, including some magnificent fly agaric.  We had an excellent walk and found and photographed plenty more fungi; the bracken was also looking wonderful in its fresh autumn colours.  It did, however, harbour less desirable beasties and Heather picked up a tick.  I couldn't understand her lack of enthusiasm, though, when I insisted on photographing it before removing it!!  That apart, another excellent day finished off with a superb BBQ in the early evening sun.
