It is always a pleasure to catch a glimpse of the resident sparrowhawks in the churchyard of St Giles, Scartho. They even hunt as far away as our house and we witness the occasional flyby or kill. This year, however, the birds have nested in the churchyard and successfully raised three young. It was a joy on 18th August to spend an hour with them trying to capture some images.

Evening Photography of Louth Church.
Having enjoyed night photography of the Cathedral I decided to head to Louth with son Thomas to try our luck there. Again conditions were perfect. We captured twilight images, popped into the Wheatsheaf for a pint (rude not to as we were just outside) and then took some full dark shots. A very pleasant evening.
