A Second Session at the Feeding Station

As the weather was forecast to be sunny today, I made the most of it and headed out for a second session at the new feeding station.  The light was excellent; I have definitely set it up in the perfect position for the sun.  There was plenty of activity again with blue, great and coal tits constantly backwards and forwards and today I managed shots of the coal tits.  Nuthatches were again busy and yet again the male woodpecker came down for the fat.  A robin fed on the log feeder and there was a small flock of chaffinches around.  I could hear jays in the wood so I am hoping that they will come in for the peanuts.  It was good to hear a buzzard calling in the background.

After finishing at Scallows I went to top up the feeders at the woodyard feeding station where I found a squirrel on the nut holder - a first for me at the yard.  There seemed to be plenty of birds about and I shall have a session in the hide here on Saturday, weather permitting.
