Winter on the Horsefield.

This afternoon Heather went to fetch Jet from her cousins and we set of for a walk around the Horsefield.  We started our walk around the outside of the cemetery as normal but left through the crematorium, crossed the busy Peaks Parkway and continued past the YMCA heading towards Weelsby Woods.  Not wanting to go to the woods we followed the farm track round to cross of the old railway bridge of Peaks Tunnel and into the Horsefield.  We were pleased that we were wearing wellies as it was as wet here as I have known it.  The land was sodden and there was the sound of running water in every ditch and drain.  How different this area is in the depths of a wet winter.
