A Norfolk Sojourn, Day 2

A cold and intermittently wet day today.  We drove to the park and ride and caught the bus into Norwich alighting in Tombland, fictionally familiar from the novels of C J Sanson and Ellie Griffiths.  Our first port of call was the cathedral which we thoroughly enjoyed; Norman at the bottom and gothic higher up, a beautiful building.  We explored Tombland and then the excellent market before heading for the castle.  Sadly we arrived too late to get into the museum to see the Gloucester exhibition  contemporaneous  with the Mary Rose. Standing on the castle ramparts I looked out at the nearby wooded high ground and allowed my imagination to roam to Kett's rebellion.
