At Last, Bullfinches at the Feeding Station

I wanted to top up the feeders this morning, and as it had been snowing and more was forecast I planned to stay for an hour and photograph.  Sadly the snow was less than I had hoped for and it was just very cold.  There were two unexpected high spots, however.  Firstly a flock of six bullfinches (three pairs) were feeding on hawthorn buds in the bush at the back of the hide.  Although they didn't come down to the feeders and perches I did manage some pleasing images despite poor light and a cluttered setting.  Wrens are in and out of the log piles all the time on the woodyard, but they rarely visit the feeding station.  Perhaps because the weather has turned so cold, however, one did come in for quite some time this morning, which was very satisfying.
