Little Owl in the Wolds.

On such a wonderful day as yesterday, it was a delight to be out in the Wolds with Jet.  We opted for the eastern edge of the Wolds so that we would have the sun behind us for the views to the coast.  On the way to our parking spot I was delighted to spot a little owl perched in the hedge; always a welcome find.  We parked up and walked up the side of Beesby Wood.  Signs of spring are everywhere now; increased plant growth and the air ringing with bird song.  Daffodils are now well in flower and in the woods, bluebells and dog's mercury are showing well.  I have even seen hawthorn coming into leaf.  It was upsetting to find my second badger set that had been stopped; baiting or cull????  We continued our walk along the edge of the Wolds to just beyond Hawerby Hall and back and on the way home witnessed yet another dramatic sunset.
Photos from the walk below; the little owl shots are old ones though!
