Seville, Day 4: Art Museum, Chilling and BBQ

A lazy get up today, enjoying the lack of pressure to do anything.  After a leisurely breakfast we walked along the river to the Museum of Modern Art on the island of Cataluya, where Columbus was once a resident.  The museum is in and old monastery that later became a ceramics factory so there are superb examples of the tiles they used to make.  There were really interesting exhibitions and the buildings too were extremely interesting and attractive.  An extra treat was the excellent view we had of a hoopoe on the grass.

We walked back along the river to meet up with Beth outside her flat and then walked over to the other side of the river for a relaxed lunch, returning for churros and chocolate for afters (to die for - yum).  We had met Beth's flatmate Hannah by this time and the ladies decided to go shopping,so I found a convenient bar for a beer or two - well a bird never flew on one wing!!!  I then sat in the sun on the river side waiting for the ladies.  It was very 'Le Weekend' with the riverside and bars full of young Sevillans enjoying the sun.  When we were all gathered again we repaired to Beth's flat for a BBQ on the balcony and watched the sun set over the river.  Magical.
