France May June 2016. Day 13 The Causses and Towns.

Well another wet day, but the Pickwells are nothing if not resilient and so another good day has been had.  When, dear reader, you consider going on holiday, I suggest you consult with us to make sure we are not going at the same time.  May in Italy/France 2013 goes down in legend.  May in Scotland 2015; well suffice it to say we had snow!!! (and May is the best month in Scotland don’t forget).  In 2011 I want to the Sahara in May – it rained!!  Say no more.  Still, whist having coffee in a bar in Le Rozier this morning we watched TV reports of the floods in Northern France, reminiscent of England last December, so we are lucky!!!  One may ask why we insist on going away in May; but as everyone knows it's the best month of the year.  We began and ended our day with exploration and coffee in Le Rozier/Payreleau and at the top end of the Jonte Gorge at Meyruis.  In between we explored the fabulous high plateau of the Causses Meyjean and yet more orchids.  I finally unleashed the canon 7D and 150 macro, which, although heavy for my aging frame, does produce the goods and I finally got orchid pictures that I am pleased with.  More to come tomorrow.
