France, May/June 2016. Day 19, A Day in Chatillon

A day off today.  A bit of human being rather than human doing.  After a lazy start we walked up into the village for some shopping for lunch, a citron presse at the bar/restaurant from last night.  Expensive but very pleasant.  It was then time for some photography and sketching round the village before a return for lunch and doze in the sun. Eventually we roused ourselves to go for a short drive, some poppy photography/sketching and then a return for some more shopping.  A walk down to the river and paddle followed before aperitif and BBQ time.  Wildlife highlights were black-veined white butterfly and a stunning male green lizard.  A foot long with yellow belly and iridescent green back with bright blue head made this a stunning creature; impossible to believe this was Europe and not the tropics.  Unfortunately it was too fast for photography.
